Empower 25 in 25

For 25 years, YouthPlaces has provided free essential and culturally responsive programs to over 40,000 vulnerable youth throughout our region. Our nuanced model to ensure that every youth receives access to high quality programming IN their community, provided by people of the community, has created jobs, educational opportunities, and resources to thousands of people. In fact, in almost every community through Pittsburgh and Mon Valley, there are people who can point to YouthPlaces as a safe haven and opportunity at some point throughout the last 25 years.

In 2021, we recommitted our model to continuing to provide services to our region's most vulnerable populations, taking the programs to where the gaps in equitable distribution of resources exists, while continuing to employ individuals who deserve access to opportunity.

On July 1, we will begin our 25th year, and to celebrate we want to kick off this year with our EMPOWER 25 in 25 campaign. Over the next 25 days, we are raising $25,000 to support 25 teens, living in communities with equity, opportunity and access challenges, with programming for one full year, including, mentorship, tutoring, college visits and tour, case management, and first job training and development.
